Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
It's been awhile since I've updated this for several reasons so here's another post....

Yes, dear Charlotte came home. And boy does she look good.
    IMG_20161229_183110.jpg

The very first thing I did was pull out the Wheeler's Bumpstops I had been sitting on for the rear axle for a month or so.. and promptly had a u-bolt strip! This was unbelievably inconvenient for me. One of the u-bolts had some damaged exposed thread and when the nut came off it tore up both the nut and u-bolt. Damn!
    IMG_20161231_144904.jpg
    IMG_20161231_170217.jpg

Lucky me, Deaver Springs in Santa Ana was ready and willing to get me new u-bolts in a flash! (+1 spare :)) They even measured them a bit closer to make sure we don't have too much extra thread hanging out!
    IMG_20170103_161250.jpg

Then I went and found some snow. It was spontaneous. I just made my way out with the lady, kid, and two dogs.

    IMG_20170107_161825.jpg

The real downside here, though, is the Wheeler's bumps actually leave much to be desired! Deaver leaf packs are pretty tall. Like 10 leaf tall. So all mounted up (without the flip kit) these things sit real high. Somewhere between an inch and two away from the frame sitting level! This picture is from one of the above flex shots and is hardly even turned over. The bumps engage WAY too soon and bottom out HARD when they do. I contacted Wheeler's and they have no fix, unfortunately. They even told me the flip kit's mounting plate won't work as it's designed to sit a hair lower... due to the flip kit! Back to the drawing board I suppose. At low compression they ride a LOT better than stock. I can feel when they gently slow a hard hit.

But when you bottom them out holy fuck.

Just remember you can't bolt up a rear end and it ALWAYS runs over priced.

A rear end setup isn't bolt up like a set of long arms.

Got to fabricate the front spring mount, most likely new shackles, spring perch for the axle, shock tabs, bed cage, honestly i don't even know what else but there's more. And no "kit".
