    The terminals are made by JL Audio, the clear covers had to be removed due to the height of the well made northstar terminals. Very easy to install the cage and battery with just a ratchet set.

    I installed mine (27F) today, I was able to make it fit without messing with the handle. I had to take the bolt off of the front j-hook, attach the back j-hook, line up the front j-hook and press it down before threading the bolt. It is certainly snug and took a few extra minutes, but the handle is down.

    No wires come with the JL terminals, the wires are a result of the Big 3 wiring upgrade

    Just got around to installing my 27F today. When I started her up after completing the install and just now (3 hours later), it started both times but but didn't have that confident start I was anticipating. Is it because the battery has to go through a full cycle? I'm hoping that's the reason. Input appreciated by fellow owners

    I noticed no difference between my last battery and this one on subjective start up feeling. My volt meter says otherwise. I'm no electrician, but with the old battery it would go down to low 10 volts on start up and died after leaving lights on for 5 minutes. New battery at least mid 11 volts on start up at a frosty 5 degrees outside.

    Mine seems to turn over more quickly with the new battery and, like @henryp, my voltages remain higher/more stable than before.

    False alarm, the start up this morning was great in rather mild conditions (25 degrees). Click-click VROOOOM!

    I will get it tested because I'm curious, but it looks like it did need time to cycle. Thanks for the input guys.
