    @vssman ,
Taking Sis and BIL out to lunch today. Their choice, but we may go to Dotties in Woodbury.
I've been there before, and they have pretty good food.

Sooo.. My soon to be useless ..Son In law text's me on Monday and asked if I am busy Wed ..Nope why , well we wanted to know if you wanted to do supper ? I was like sure what time and anything in particular you guys want me to make... Nope we owe you a dinner since you have cooked several times .. Ok what time do you want me to come up .. We thought we would take you out where would you like to go .. Hey you guys are buying so where ever you want.. Ok see you Wed yep.

In my own head hmm wonder what is up ... They already put off the wedding till next year, no hint of impending implosion well it could be implosion or another announcement well wait and see.

Last night they show up on time even lol we go out have a nice supper local nice Italian place . End of supper he asked her did you bring the book we got for him .. I am like ok they finally realized they did not get me a card etc for my B Day back In Sept. Daughter says we got this in August I figured I would save it for you till needed .... I am like umm ok an open it up to find :

    NCM_0467.jpg

Tada lol apparently some time this coming September I will be joining the rest of the crew in here with a grandchild :} !!
I told her congratulations at least you stayed the plan and did not make me one before I was 50 :} I said when in September she is like well somewhere around the 18 to 20th but know more next week after Dr apt :} I told her great as long as you have it on your sister's Birthday the 19 and not mine you are good !! LOL

I did page through the book and it has some funny stuff in :

    Grandpa's Words of Wisdom
What Grandpa Has Learned About Success
At age 4, success is not peeing in your pants.
At age 12, success is having friends.
At age 17, success is having a driver's license.
At age 35, success is having money.
At age 50, success is having money.
At age 70, success is having a driver's license.
At age 75, success is having friends.
At age 80, success is not peeing in your pants.

What Grandpa has learned about growing old .
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
Forget health food . As you get older you need all the preservatives you can get .
When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there.
Time is a great healer but it's a lousy beautician.
Wisdom comes with age , but sometimes age comes alone ....

Just a few tidbits from the book lol

I still don't understand dr saying wait till I'm "older" for shingles shot. I swear I heard the girl say 70?
I may not live to see 70!
I go back to eye dr later. So far pain free even after cabinet replacement.

Morning all. Cat is a good alarm clock but lousy at reading time.

It's been raining steady here, realize the pump isn't on, I hope the trench is doing its job.

Good morning, we all made it to Thursday. I know that I'm alive even the hairs on my head hurt this morning. Going to take a vacation and wait a few more hours before go out and hammer down on more ice today. Almost at the home stretch. Going to rain tonight hope don't get to start over.

That triggered a memory from long ago. I have a gap between 2 of my teeth that works perfectly for stripping phone and Ethernet wire strands. One day I was stripping a phone wire and had the hot wire in my mouth and someone dialed in just as my tongue hit the end. POTS may be low voltage but that was about enough to make me piss my pants, last time I ever did it to a phone wire.
