If you feel it's out of alignment just go back to your dealer. It's under warranty and only several bolts.

Oh it is out alright, just seeing if there were any more like this. I will be showing the dealer this when I go for oil change.

Yeah mine is off a little bit too. They're all different but the space between the cab and my bed is different on one side than the other. Nothing severe/noticeable, but I still havn't decided if it bothers me enough to take it in... o_O

Mines exactly the same. Noticed when I put on new wheels and tires. Passenger side was sticking out but not drivers side. I will just do it myself come spring.

Is it lifted? You'll notice on many tacomas after lifting and putting different rims/tires on that the passenger rear wheel sticks out a tad farther than the drivers side - mine included.

Yes but that's when I noticed the bed. It's off enough to make up the difference I think. Only 2" rear lift.

There have been a few, I'm not sure exactly how it works out. It seems like the bed would be pre-drilled and the frame would be as well but maybe the holes are oblong to allow for slightly movement and they are just bad at visually aligning them.

I worked for Raymond Corp owned by Toyota and we had strict quality controls and everything had to be in spec or it was marked defective and sent back down the assembly line. They are very good at catching mistakes and whenever something goes wrong they come up with a new method to avoid it happening again that goes into effect soon after. So as time goes on we will see these defects completely disappear whether it be loose u bolts, low tranny fluid or misaligned beds.

I've read somewhere in here that many do it themselves. Usually enough adjustment to fix the problem.

My bed is a little bit off too like in the OP's pic. But im not sure if i want to take it in to the dealer for them to alighn. It doesnt really bother me i guess. You can only see that it is off if you really take a good look at it.

This isn't limited to third gen (as much as some people wish it was). My '13 is off a little. I just roll with it. It bothered me for a day or two. :)

I fixed mine, but there is some bad news...

After you align the bed by loosening the bed bolts, you can push the bed around till it its aligned. The only problem is once you aligned bed, the gap between the bed and rear bumper will be different on driver and passenger. I'm still wondering if their is enough play in the bumper mounting holes to correct it, if not then i suspect these composite beds are slightly off and not true to size, but still within Toyota's spec thus still getting installed at factory.

Good for you, i couldn't handle it lol. It's easier to handle the rear bumper and bed gap, because it's not as noticeable.
