Lol it was. And last I recall I changed it back to Hoover. I don't know why I care so much but I live right behind Target, but I swear it's like Hoover, Overton, Lake Purdy, and Mordor all show up in google maps as the 'area' so I have no idea what to actually make it. :annoyed:

sorry man! I think that would be awesome but Mobile is a stretch for like 98% of us lol. I believe you and Leah are the only 2 down that way currently "active" in our group, but I may be mistaken. We are going to stay more central with it....though I know that makes a long drive for you guys.

For those interested in this Red Clay Rally thing we are doing here is the code of conduct:

All drivers must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old, and sign a waiver prior to competing.

All minor passengers must be accompanied by a legal guardian. The guardian must sign the waiver on the minors behalf.

Participants shall at all times, maintain a safe, professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Vehicles and participants shall abide by ALL state and local laws.

All vehicles will have valid insurance. Proof may be requested at any time.

ALL vehicles shall have at least 1 window ON EACH SIDE dedicated to rally number and insignia ONLY. No other decals can be present on these windows.

Vehicles will not be excessively loud.

Headlights shall remain on for safety during all stages of the rally, night or day.

Team departure order will be determined by Zack. There is no alternative.

Each member of every team shall remain together and arrive at each checkpoint together. If one breaks, you all break... Just don't block the route.

You have no obligation to stop and assist another team. This is an endurance rally, and we expect mechanical issues. They did too when they signed up.

All rally clocks are forbidden. You can use a stopwatch, and non-scientific calculator if you're a geek.

If at any time you get lost, return to your last known point on the map. Do not take for granted that the team in front of you is going the right direction. Also do not take for granted they are going the correct pace.

Free zones are not timed, you will be notified what zones are free before they occur. These zones are designed to allow participants time to refuel, check vehicle mechanics, and restock supplies. Ample time will be provided for this. While in free zones, no points will be accrued. You will be required to be at the next checkpoint at a designated time, but arriving early will not be penalized. Arriving late however will prevent you from beginning the next stage at the correct time, thus setting you up to obtain points for this stage. Be on time and READY for the next stage at the designated time.

Traffic citations obtained by law enforcement personnel are an instant disqualification of the event. PERIOD. Consider the ticket your due process, you're guilty.

If a rally participant obviously wants to pass you (legally), allow them space to do so. This isn't Baja, and there will be no punting, or blocking. If complaints of this are brought to staff attention it will be addressed promptly with point penalty or disqualification.
Intentionally going off course to get back lost time, or circumvent any set time stamps is forbidden and will result in disqualification. You also don't know where checkpoints will be located, so it's not smart. Also, intentionally stopping to add time to your clock will result in immediate disqualification.

Missing or skipping a checkpoint will result in the maximum point penalty for that stage.

Bonus rounds are not required routes at any point in this rally.

All debris will be removed when camping. We will leave our campsite better than when we arrived. If we have to clean up after you, your team will be given points.

Alcohol will only be consumed while at our campsite and the rally finish. I understand that there is no open container law in TN, but it's just bad form. If a participant becomes belligerent/fights at any time during this event, law enforcement will be contacted. This event welcomes friendly banter and competition, it does not welcome bullying, rudeness or threats.

Consumption of illegal drugs at any time will result in immediate disqualification.

Consumption of alcohol by any person under the age of 21 during this event will result in an immediate disqualification.

This is a family oriented event, filter strong language at all times.

Rules may be amended, altered, or added at any time with or without notice to participants.

    Why no rally clock?

And the rule about traffic citations is just stupid. Putting unfailingly faith in LE to not make any mistakes.

I'm not sure on the rally clock, I don't even actually know what that is.

I believe if a traffic citation happens it will be disputable if there are others around to help defend the recipient. I know if a guy gets pulled over in front of me same speed I'm going and gets a ticket at the next checkpoint I would defend him to try and keep him in the rally.

    &

I'm pretty sure a rally clock is a clock that keeps track of your total time and then you can clock each leg of your rally. I wonder if they made the rule in an attempt to stop people from rushing and being un-safe? I'm not sure, either way if you do an event with "rally" in the title and over 40 trucks people are going to treat it like a race.

Yeah I just hope I don't get a citation for something stupid like a blinker or dumb crap.

    &

Yes, I fully expect it to be a "race" even though they are trying to control that a bit. I honestly just hope to not break anything and go have a hell of a time for the weekend with a bunch of neat vehicles. Plus Justin and I are hoping to get good advertisement, hopefully sales there too. We are hoping to have a few products out at that time to carry with us.
