This would be my first Tacoma and I am buying it because I have to turn in my VW Golf Diesel polluter. I was looking at a TRD Pro but cant find one in a manual trans that is available and I really cant wait to order one.

I did find a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport, 4x4, DCSB, in a manual with the technology package.

    Here is the options list:
    V6 Tow Package - $650.00
Premium and Technology Package - Includes: Replaces Chrome rear bumper with color-keyed rear bumper, Dual Zone Climate Control, Heated front seats, Rear parking assist sonar, Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Auto-headlights, and Moonroof - $2360.00
    All-Weather Floor Liners/Door Sill
    50 State Emissions
    Mudguards
TRD Sport Package: All Content Included as Standard Equipment

They are asking $37,382. What would be a good price on this specific truck?

Look at the 17 what you pay thread. Look at people getting 2500-4500 off MSRP. Then see what region you are in, and compare to the posts there, and negotiate the best deal in your region. Good luck.

Here are examples of TWO deals that happened last week

Sounds like they are asking close to MSRP, if you were looking at a Pro why not get an OffRoad over a Sport.

A good deal IMO is to pay about MSRP out the door. Here in AZ with taxes and fees that comes out to a subtotal of around 500 over invoice. If you can get lower than that even better. Depends where you live and if you throw a trade into the mix forget it

Without hating on anyone, in my personal opinion, I do not like the look of the unpainted fenders. AND....I like the look of the hood scoop even though I am fully aware it is non-functioning and does nothing but cosmetics.

The Pro is like both put together. I'd rather have the function of the Offroad, but maybe he wants the looks of the Sport?

Ok but make sure you like the ride of the sport. Seen plenty of people here lately complaining about the harsh and stiff ride of the sport. Be sure you test drive a TRD off-road

What part of the Country are you in? My local dealer has a new 17 TRD off road in Barcelona red with the full P&T package, auto for $37k even.

You can always add painted fender flares if you don't like the black ones, and as mentioned above make sure you drive a Sport as you may not like the harsh ride.

I would think this isn't bad of a deal. My cousin bought a 2016, but this was more towards when they were first released. It was basically a loaded TRD sport, 4x2. I believe he paid 41k and some change out the door. I haven't driven a 3rd gen, but hes been telling me hes been having some transmission issues including erking and jerking into his driveway before.
