Subject change, but has anyone ever put brighter bulbs or LEDs in the third brake light on the back of the cab? If so, what kind or size?

I wish I could be cause these thing are so damn expensive but they have 2 12oz for like 5.33 and a 20oz is like 6 dollars by its self so I just drink 2 of them for cheaper

 

Just got an Icon lift stage 2 was wondering what the best height or so that daily driving is still enjoyable... Also in the future, looking at throwing some UCA's into the mix. LR, Built Rights, Camburg or TC's. Anyone got those types of UCA's with this type of lift? Thanks.

 

Don't go above 2.5". I had mine about 3" and dropped them down a half inch and it was much better. Are those extended travel coilovers? If so they will out extend your stock ucas. I'd get some sooner then later.

 

Yeah ext. Coilovers 2.5 non res. So no matter what i'm going to have to get some sort of aftermarket UCA so that I can fit factory alignment right?

 

Yes. Your suspension goes negative caster as it droops. The higher you put the static ride height the more caster you loose inherently. Most aftermarket ucas will have 2° or 3° built in added caster just for this scenario. There are numerous reasons to buy aftermarket ucas but the reasons you "need" to are caster correction and the limited stock ball joint movement

 

Thanks man, great info. Any opinions on UCA's its my everyday vehicle so I am trying to be reasonable with it with offroading in mind as well.

 

It's was decent info. I just didn't feel like typing more. Haha and NOT LIGHT RACING!!! Naw LR are fine, I guess. If you want to stick with ball joint, hard to beat Camburg. If you want to go uniball, hard to beat Camburg. But many other ucas are great. If going uniball, only choose an arm that uses FK stainless balls. These will not rust and wear out seals because of it. Pretty much all of them will use polyurethane bushings and choosing either a 1" or 1.25" uniball isn't a big deal as you won't be going hard in the paint anyway. If I'm putting it on my truck, Camburg or Total Chaos uniball. I don't think that last sentence specifically helps you out though. Haha

 

Haha, thought it was legit information i've done research on the whole lift thing and decided to pull the trigger due to getting a great deal. I had really no clue about the camber or caster situation due to extended coilover travel. That was completely new to me... I'm glad I didnt tear down the suspension and then come to the point of "OH SHIT" I need control arms and be without my truck. So uniball sounds like the way to go.

 

You could buy my DSM Uniball ucas that just need some TLC (need new uniballs and maybe bushings, they're probably fine) for $250. Bought them used for $250 this summer but I am able to get a decent alignment with my stock UCAs.

 

This is a great deal if you dont mind replacing the balls yourself. It's super easy

 

Why are you wanting to sell them? Also any pics?

 

I just don't need them. I had cash burning holes in my pockets this summer and they were a great deal so I picked them up with intention of getting some extended travel coilovers or at least a new coil to put me just under 3" but thats no longer the case and I'd rather have the money. They've been sitting in a box in my dorm since August.

Glad you got it figured out. Sucked to see the truck having to limp along last weekend in 2wd.

 

No still not fixed I think I tore up my diff so I ordered a new one from ecgs and they are over nighting it to me today. Hope it fixes the problem.

 

Did you regear for those 40s we are putting on it?
