    Got to be a lot in the cam profiles. Wasn't there a guy in here who said that another engine's cams would fit? Those 3vz cams correct? If a dyno shows them to have a better high rpm stability then either swapping in the oem 3vz cams or a set of aftermarket 3vz cams would have great potential.

    Be pretty easy, considering that the 5vz is has a timing belt.

    You're assuming people are logical and rational LOL

    I trust the FIC completely from what I've seen/done. But I will look into the timing complaints that you're talking about to make some there's not a caveat I've missed.

    Yeah he was doing a fully forged 5vz. Hasn't updated for a while, think he said his target was spring of this year. He did fit the cams and the crank in and said it was a perfect fit but I don't think he's run the engine yet.

    I remember a guy recently saying they fit maybe with a slight mod(not entirely sure on a mod being needed) And it's the 3vz-fe from a Camry NOT the 3vze truck motor

    And I haven't gotten a chance to drive it yet. I finished inputting values at like 11:00 and then went to bed lol. I am gonna drive it later today though so we'll see how the new maps go.

    I gotta replace my cam seals (or atleast I think they are my oil leak) so maybe I'll get some of those 3vz-fe cams...

    I don't see what it would hurt, except midrange torque. If you do valve cover gaskets, DEFINITELY do cam seals, and use plenty of RTV in the appropriate corners.... I use RTV along the entire outside edge of the cam seals. Also, pull the half moons out and re-seal those with RTV.

    I did do my valve cover seals but neglected to do my cam seals when I did them...the valve cover seals are in good shape still so a bit of RTV and some seals should remedy my ability to bleed oil like Trump bleeds money

    Think you'd need an entirely need head to run those cams anyway. Springs alone are like $1000. I'll stick with high torque, my truck will never run a tire under 31".

    But mine probably will :D #dragslicks

    Also if the stock valve train holds together at 5800rpm then swapping cams will just make it perform better at those higher rpms, or atleast that's what makes sense in my head. Plus I could just get valve springs for like $250 bucks and probably be just fine at the 5800rpm redline, which I'll never get to with an automatic
