I have no idea where to post this so please forgive me as this is off topic.

Long story short I was charged twice for my monthly and instead of emails Toyota had my fax my bank statement to them. After that instead of a refund transfer back to me, they will cut me a check that wont be here for a week.

Just thought that was odd and feel like they are behind the times.

Yes, TFS which handles both Lexus and Toyota, definitely.

The shenanigans I had to deal with TFS on my Land Cruiser/LX lease buy outs every 36 months have left a bad taste in my mouth.

My only issue with them was when I first got my loan, I tried for 3 months to get my bill sent to my P.O.Box instead of my street address by filling out the form on the back of the bill. No change until I called and actually talked to someone at TFS. It was was changed the next month, and has been fine ever since.

Haven't dealt with TFS. Sounds really annoying.

Consider refinancing with a credit union.

Never use auto-pulls to pay stuff. When they f' it up you're out the money until you convince them to give it back to you. Can also make for an expensive cascade if other payments bounce.

If you automate payment somewhere, always make it a push from your bank. Retain control.

Had to change my address through the TFS app like three times before it took effect.

Then went through the hassle of trying to submit my payoff online. Took several days for it to post to my bank account... even though it was SCHEDULED through the app.

They still mailed my lien waiver / title release to my old address... thankfully USPS forwarded to me.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Probably would be better in the Off-Topic thread.

My understanding that TFS is just a financial arm of Toyota -- allowed to run independently.

That said, in ANY financial institution, their goal is to keep $$ with them as long as possible.

TFS was run as a joke when I was an employee in corporate. Nothing has really changed over the years. If I didn't have to do the corporate leases through TFS, I would never voluntarily have a relationship with them
