What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

was thinking of building some similar headlights myself. producing a bracket to mount the pods to the OE mounts shouldnt be too difficult, granted, having access to a CNC makes it easier..

 

So in a hypothetical situation, say I have a 2011 A/C SR5 that has 4.10 axles and I find a 2011 OF truck in a junk yard or somewhere that has the 4.56 axles; would I in theory be able to swap out entire rear ends as long as I get the gears for the front clam and would it need the 3rd also?

Anyone heard of or know someone who has experience with this chime in! Thanks.

Every other car I see in Vegas has limo tint on the fronts.

 

Installed my TC bed stiffeners. Super easy install and good illustrated installation instructions. I didn't notice any change really in the gap, but I just wanted to install these to prevent further spreading. I kinda figured I wouldn't see any change since I have the bed bars and they fit snug. I hesitated on the stiffeners because I thought there wouldn't be any separation since I had the bars and the KBVOODOO bed rail caps, but then I thought it could still move as a whole unit, probably not each bed side independantly, but it could still shift at that point together, especially if you have twisting of the bed and cab individually? I don't know, maybe just in my head, but it puts my mind at ease so I guess that's all that matters.

 

I painted my emblems with plasti-dip. It was pretty easy.

 

I installed redline quick lift hood cylinders. Tomorrow my new headlight bulbs should be in. I'll probably post pictures then.

 

Dug my old roof rack out of the garage last night, modified the old Audi fit kit since the rack is long discontinued, and viola! No more skis/boards sliding around in the bed! Bars are all sorts of bent and banged up from being on my Jeep, but overall I think it looks alright!

 

Looks good! Gotta get yourself a color matched grille surround now!

 

Desperately! It's on my to-do list.

 

I got my Hondo radio knobs in and installed them. Totally awesome and feel great on the finger tips. I would suggest tightening the screw a few rotations before putting them on the post. Saves some cursing when fiddling with the small set screw and wrench.

 

Guess I'm the odd man out. I got the hondo knobs and didn't like them
Removed them about a week later

 

Mind if I ask why?! Just curious.
