Not a bad price... I'd possibly consider wrapping mine as well for that cost.

Do 'we' have much experience with vinyl wrapping? If so I may have to pick some up and attend this wrap party. I have some spots I need to touch up.

If only it were that easy. I did see a product a while back that was magnetic panels that you could basically do what you are describing. Protect the big parts of your exterior paneling at least.

Those are called Jeeps. They are so ugly, you will want to grind on rocks and trees to improve appearance.

if you are going 35's period, you should stick with the 4.56's. im a little unclear as to why people are getting 11 mpg running 33s with 4.56???

I am running 35's with Nitro 4.56 gears (ECGS installed) and get 13.5 mpg, even after all my mods. If you are getting 11mpg, its probably due to other mods that are weighing down the truck, driving erratically, spark plugs being nasty nasty, lines messy, etc. There are countless reasons why ur mileage is that low that is not tied to 4.56s and 33's, but it really could be anything (just my opinion).

you CAN also run 35s on 3.73s and not break or damage anything (of course, I wouldnt push it hard offroad with that combo just to be on the safe side, but DDing is fine and I did this for a few months between the tires and regearing).

I got a friend that even ran 33's with 4.88's before his 35's arrived and he still had no issues with gas mileage, just as another example.

in the end, you cant go wrong with 35's and 4.56s. just be open to chopping the cab mount and using a BFH to beat in the wheel well a little, and pinch weld. I cut my CM off completely and relocated with the Red Goat CM relocation kit and LOVE it.

A lot of the milage issues are due to rotating mass also. I'm on 37's and running 4.88 gears and my milage sucks. It's around 12mpg. Each tire alone weights 86lbs not including the wheel. At the end of the day though, I didn't buy this truck looking to get awesome mpg. Hell, I don't even care what it gets as long as it runs good and rips around town.

same boat. I think my wheel/tire combo weights in at around 115 lbs. the nitto trail grapplers in 35 are some heavy tires and I have 5 including the spare on the swing out

Dont forget to multiply your mileage for your tire size too. Bigger tires means the trip meter is going to be off a bit. If i remember right going from stock to a 285/75/16 you need to multiply by 1.1. No clue what it is for different sizes.

But i honestly stopped caring a long time ago. I only look at the fuel gauge and the miles to know when to fill up

My mileage didn't really change much from 33's and stock gears, to 33's with 4.88's and now 35's with 4.88's. Maybe 1 mpg difference.

4.56 and 33's should yield you better mileage than 33's and stock gears..

Figured I would jump on this thread now that I have joined the community. Im out in Issaquah WA. Guessing I have seen a couple of you guys rolling around (saw a grey 2nd gen DCSB lifted beast with a light bar up top in Redmond today around 5 pm). Got a bunch of mods in the garage waiting to be installed when I get a good weekend. 5100s with OME 887 and dakar pack, Body Armor rock steps, brake line extension, LA UCA's and Pelfreybilt aluminum front bumper and a steel rear on the way (6 more weeks :fingerscrossed:) . Just finished up some interior and exterior light upgrades.

I guess you could say this website has had an impact on my spending habits.

Still trying to decide on a tire upgrade im pretty much set on Cooper S/T maxx just not sure if I want to go 255/85 or 255/80.
Anyone have either and want to weigh in or better yet meet up so I can drool all over them?

Here is how we sit today if you see me rolling around.
