image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg First a little background. I have been welding for 35 years and have built bumpers out of 6" schedule 80 pipe that would crush any store bought bumper made. Those bumpers were made for early 70's mud and woods trucks that would hold them. Now let's skip to me in my 50's

I was looking to build a nice simple bumper guard that would protect the front end in case I tapped a tree or pipe. The pipe put a dent in my 2000 tundra bumper after a little "love tap" at a convienence store. I found the AVID bumper guard on this site and thought, what the hell, for the price I will try it.
My first thoughts were that it was not going to be heavy enough to protect the plastic front ends of these trucks. I was very pleased with the build quality and how rigid it actually was. I wailed on it pretty good with a 4X4 before I painted it and it held up.
Again, I was looking for a bumper guard, not a winch bumper or big heavy bumper that would weigh too much. For those who will say that these are just damage multipliers, ALL of the bumpers sold out there will do that. If not caving in and breaking the plastic the frame will get bent. This product does exactly what I want.
I do not work for AVID or have any ties to them, I am just happy with their product. There were a few nit picky things that I did not like(holes for tag cut with plasma cutter, not drilled) but I am pleased with it.
Feel free to flame away, I am a grown man, I can take it.

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
The paint job looks REALLY GOOD!.... That's all I've got.

*EDIT* Actually, not all I've got. Seems ALL of my very few manners have escaped me this AM. Thank you for taking the time to try a new product and post your review here for others that may be into similar products!
