I'm stoked that it is upon us. I like a few of the summer Olympic events, but nothing compares to the winter Olympics and its events, especially hockey, alpine skiing, and luge.

I'm looking forward to it, but Summer games track and field can't be beat.

I like the long jump, speed skating, hockey and anything where a guy (or guys) get into a rocket on skates and fly down hill.

Ski Jumping starts off the games on Saturday. Sweet. The east has been getting hammered with snow and Vancouver has had to transport it in because they're getting none. I thought I heard that the lows are in the low 40's (5 C). Insane.

    I loves me some Olympics!:bananadance:

I have my favorite sports but enjoy them all.

It is too bad about the luge guy. This is the fastest track ever. They're going over 90mph on a sled! There are complaints that only the best sledders there are even skilled enough to be on that track.

The asses on the women's short-track speed-skating relay team are phenomenal. That is all :D

Holy crap! The pairs' guy on tv right now is wearing a peacock outfit, and the gal is wearing a "fire" outfit (see photo above for comparison). Auspicious post timing.

I just tuned into the women's hockey game between the Canadians and the Swiss. WTF is this? Why are checks not allowed? Are women that fragile that they can't be touched in a hockey game??? Field Hockey games are rougher then this.

If I were a woman I would be pissed. This is something that goes back to the days when women were not allowed to race more then 1,500 meters in the Olympics because experts claimed that women's health would be damaged by long-distance running.
