Yeah you’re about 5-6 years back, 2000 was when it got mainstream.

Im into imports but would never consider me and my friends old rides "rice"

I used to own a 1990 Eclipse GSX... the only exterior mod you could see was a loud ass muffler. and that fooled everyone. Little did anybody know that the fartcan was attached to 3" exhaust piping connected to a downpipe connected to a fat daddy turbo. Plus all the suporting mods and built motor :D Needless to say just about every camaro, mustang, trans am, etc that pulled up to me at the light thought they had me because I was a little 4cyl with a fartcan. and they would try. :)

*Post edited to remove street racing stories... but you get the idea of what they had coming to them

now Im trying to save up enough money to buy an unmodded Evo9 one day... and let the fun all start over again.

this is my old car. Bought it from my friend for $1400 bucks, i gutted the inside, new paint job, wheels tires and an engine swap. Never wanted to do the spoiler or body kit.

this is what it looked like when i bought it

this is after i primered it

    and after i painted it

also swapped the old stock engine for the b16 jdm. That gave it a little more power.

i loved that car. It handled very well, got great mpg, and it was pretty quick. It was not the fastest car on the road by any means, but still a good car. I shoulda never sold it.

Man this reminds me of one of my ex co-worker. He would try to race every sports car he sees during lunch then try to get their phone number to talk about cars later on. What’s unbeliever able it is that they actually gaves him their number!! I used to drive a pretty riced out 2000 Celica (the shame, sorry I was young :D ) and I get dudes trying to hit me up all the time. I’d either ignore them or give them the wtf look and go on with my business. I don’t know how many times I would pull in to a gas station and some dude would follow me in and start talking to me. I guess I was never really in to it......

Come to think about it I get other tacos purposely tailing me or driving right next to me all the time.
