    I live between the San Gabriel Mountains and the Verdugo Hills, lots of undeveloped land. The Army corps of engineers came in and made concrete channels to quickly take the water away, we have few issues here but downstream...

    I have to admit there is something about watching the snow come out of the shoot and go half way down the yard that I get a kick out of. It feels like such a win against it.

    You almost had me looking over my shoulder... And I took everyone's advice and purchased the largest the gun safe I COULDN'T afford when I got my first safe. Yes it is, well past time but not sure where I am going to place it yet. Lower level slab bolted to the cement like the last one.

    Start of day 5 of ice from hell. Raining and 32. Wet frozen ice on exposed bricks is slicker than owl shit. Slowly melting though it is getting thinner. Digging in ice and snow to drain it before it gets in garage and winning that battle for the most part. Truck is free.

    Rain and 31 today, same both Saturday and Sunday. 20's and teens with snow forecasted on Monday and Tuesday. Guess I spend the weekend getting rid of all the ice so I can run the snow blower next week. Sciatica nerve has been burning from my ass to my toes all week and upper body muscles are screaming. But by next week should be buff and feel like a young buck. That has been hit by a truck!
