I'm picking up an ARB CKMTA12 twin compressor from @dorton later this week and trying to decide on mounting options.

    1. Preference is the drivers side bed storage pocket.

    2. Secondary location is under the hood on a Slee bracket.

I'd rather keep it out of the engine bay to prevent excessive heat sink, etc.

Looking for options and lessons learned.

That's a pretty large compressor. Does it even fit in the storage bins?

Most people use a single in that area and it barely fits height wise. In a second gen, anyway.

Yea, no idea I've never held one. They seem to be shorter than the single though.

Well I don't think it'll work. I found some dimensions on ARB AU's data. Seems it's

    H - 4.1"
    L - 10.9"
    W - 7.5"

Everything works except the Width.. just not deep enough.

Shorter for sure, but they're pretty damn wide.

it will work but you have to finagle it in there, I have a viair 440p compressor in mine, chopped the top off and it fits snug .. mounted the tank in the bed on the side

How did you wire up the dashboard illumination and the ignition wires?

The switch is mounted under the hood right on the same bracket that 5he compressor is on! See it right in front!

Can you shoot me some pics of your install? I have the Viair 440P and was going to mount it in the bed storage compartment. But realized after purchase, that it is a bit big. I am not doing a tank. Just want the compressor in the bed. Any assistance is appreciated.

I don't think the dual will fit in the storage things.
