    I don't know if this is too late of information, but ALL radio "types" are categorized within their own radio spectrum. So, technically, a MURS radio channel needs to be used on a MURS radio... legally. GMRS is the same. FRS is the same. HAM is the same (NOTE: the number of HAM bands are ENOURMOUS). Commercial band is the same.

    So, to answer more direct, if you use the MURS freq on a HAM radio, I don't see how they would even know if transmission is coming from a MURS radio or a HAM radio. Now, radios do have ID's!!! :facepalm::bananadead: I think, the ID thing can be turned off though on your HAM? :notsure:
