what does better mileage, auto or stick? does a supercharger get better gas mileage when your not beating on it?

Usually at 285 miles my light comes on. Then I get gas at 300. I believe that the tacomas have 21 gallon tanks and I usually end up getting 19 gallons so that means I have 3 gallons left in reserve tank.

What surprised me was driving 73 miles after the light went on and still making it to a station. I figure that was at least 3 gal. since i was doing about 22/21 MPG according to my scan guage

I get about 450kms or 300miles to a tank just doing city driving, not sure about the highway. It costs me only 60$ to fill up. I don't know.. seems reasonable I would think?

Im usually gettin about 290 to 310 and thats with the light on for awhile. Dont do this very often except when I forget to stop on the way hm for gas. Usually dont let it go past a 1/4 of a tank though.

holy smokes, a lot of you run your trucks until the light comes on... I learned the hard way not to run it too low.

My commute is 50 miles one-way.

I generally start looking to fill up around 350ish, that was I have a spare legs' worth of trip wiggle room in case some shit hits the fan someplace and I gotta go fix something NOW. Otherwise the low fuel light goes on between 390 and 420, depending on how I've been driving.

Just removed the secondary air filter yesterday too, so we'll see how that effects things.

I think I need to get a scan gauge because I have 285's and a 3 inch lift, I get around 270-300 then the light comes on. I am averaging around 14-15 mpg. I think my speedometer might be off a little.

I'm with you...used to get close to 300 miles on a tank in summer. Combo of gas and big 'ole tires. BTW: My spedo is right on now when I check with my GPS. Used to be about 5-miles fast up to 35 mph or so and about 7 mph fast at 70. The big tires fixed it!

I've gone 283 miles and the gas light didn't come on. put in about 17.3 gallons. So I should be able to get 350 out of a tank if I pushed it.

i just got back from a 2800 mile road trip. i was towing a 16 ft cargo trailer that weighs about 1500 lbs. i cant remember what i got empty but i only hauled maybe 600 lbs. (some big light stuff). i got about 220-260 if i filled it up at 1/8 tank. i gotta 4x4 v6 dc with 265 tires. for some reason i have a huge loss of power through salt lake area. i dont think its elevation cause i live in the same altitude and i have great power. normally without towing i get 300-350 on the E-line.

when you fill up, let the pump shut off on its own, then fill up when your light comes on and let the pump do its thing again. do the math with the amount you put in and your manual. im not sure if the manual is precise. but if it is i have a 21gal and from F-line to E-line is 16 gallons and probably 2.5 above and below or close to it. i could be wrong.
