When I was in the Army my "battle buddy" in basic training was an ex-heroin addict.

When it came time for me to have to put an IV in his arm it was IMPOSSIBLE. The Drill Sergeant came over and started freaking the fuck out... "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOUR VEINS, PRIVATE? DO YOU HAVE GOLD IN YOUR BLOOD YOU'RE TRYING TO PROTECT? DO YOU HAVE AIDS AND GOD HIMSELF IS TRYING TO SAVE ME FROM YOU SICKNESS?"

My battle buddy, PVT White, looks up and goes, "Uh, Drill Sergeant... I used to donate a lot of plasma."

After attempting to jam the needle into his vein for about 45 seconds (without it going in) the Drill Sergeant then had PVT White get on the ground in the push up position and waited about 90 seconds before sticking the needle into the protruding veins on top of his hand and said, "That'll teach you to lie to God."

I have the stt maxx in 285/75/16 and haven't really noticed any pull one way or the other. Feels the same as when I had stock tires. Can't comment on wear as I have less than 10k on mine but haven't noticed any uneven wear.

If you plan to daily drive I'd go with the maxx over the pro. The pro will be better off road but it's a bit more aggressive of a tires so it'll be slightly louder and wear a bit quicker on pavement. The maxx has done just go e for me in snow, ice, mud, and general off roading and has do e great on pavement in wet, snow, ice as well.

I finally got my Christmas present installed yesterday, so now I won't have to rely on the kindness of others when I need to air back up! LOL
So now I'm ready for the Tahuya run on the 29th, and it sets me up for a rear ARB locker in the future.

ARB Dual compressor with a 2 Gal. air tank.
The ARB is mounted on the drivers side fender with a custom bracket. Had to relocate some stuff from the fender and anchor it to the intake to get it to fit.
The air tank is mounted above the Hidden Hitch and there is still room for my spare tire.
Ordered and installed a custom switch from OTRATTW.

LOL! Where the hell do drill sergeants come up with this shit? Do they go to special training where they learn to string together impossibly ridiculous insults?

You have no idea. The stuff that DSG's spew is like no other. Comical and insulting at the same time. Don't you dare laugh or you'll be in the front leaning rest quicker that you can say bobs your uncle. Also if your stationed in the south, their accent/drawl makes it even better!

I don't know, but it's a beautiful art. Following a group of new recruits through basic would be an excellent reality TV show.

One of my favorites was a guy that had "meth mouth." I don't think he had a single full tooth. When taking our pictures to send home the Drill Sergeant asked him to smile, so the guy just smiled with his mouth closed. The Drill Sergeant said, "No, no God damn it, with your teeth. Show mommy and daddy that Drill Sergeant Evans has been feeding you gravel for the past week."

About 5 weeks in, the Army fixed his teeth, but they looked HUGE in his mouth and the second he came back on shift the Drill Sergeant RAN into our sleeping bay (it was night time) and woke this dude up with the biggest Mag-Lite I have ever seen shining in his face. "SMILE PVT I HEARD UNCLE SAM IS A DENTIST NOW, PERFORMING MIRACLES ON THE MOUTHS OF STREET VETERANS, TURNING THEM INTO WAR FIGHTING MACHINES."

    *PVT SMILES*

"WHAT IN THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO YOUR MOUTH YOU LITTLE FOOT LOOKING MOTHER FUCKER? ARE YOU AN HERBIVORE NOW? HOW DO YOU PLAN TO EAT STEAK? IS EVEN YOUR BELOVED TUBE STEAK OUT OF THE QUESTION?" He tore that guy apart until the day we left.

    For reference....

Right on thanks for the info. It is not my daily driver but it is the camping/skiing/hiking/road trip/have fun vehicle. That's why I was thinking the maxx vs the pro so I'm glad to hear some confirmation on that.

Exact same setup as me. I love them. Since I'm running steelies, I don't care about the brake dust.

yea im with ya. people talked about the amount of dust but I was more concerned with their effectiveness and stopping power with 35" wheels so its well worth it to me. with all that mass rolling, they stop on a "dime" considering haha

Ha! That's almost exactly how I learned to just call everyone "sir" or " ma'am". Got clocked by a tall skinny 22 yo blonde girl in a bar after I called her "babe" ( she was one too) turns out she was one of the 1st female golden gloves boxers, and yes it was a long time ago.
