Damm I've been sick for 2 days and I've missed a lot hahaha, new guys , mod bug bitten.... so much going on these days I love it

 

I used the ND4 fog light mod. I think its the best option since there is absolutely no cutting, splicing, or permanent altering of anything. Its also a piece of cake on our 2014's. Once the wires are made it is literally a 2 minute mod. I did it a little different to limit the amount of stuff i had to mess with. The thread calls for you to pull the power from the bed outlet relay but I just chose to do it a different way and pull the power from the fog light relay that has to be removed anyway to do the mod. I found this to be easier and also avoids any potential issues with the bed outlet caused by an installation error. Only difference is that I have to remember to turn off the fog light switch when I turn off the truck so I dont drain the battery. If you do it the way the thread says, the fog lights turn off automatically when the ignition is off.

Im assuming there's no point getting mine redone right? Ive washed the truck after the last few snow storms we had. Is our coat still effective or do you think another coat would do any good? Answer honestly, dont just say yes to take my money

Yeah... I've seen that one as well. To be honest it scared the shit out of me as I read it. Not much of a handy person, and the thought of wiring shit just scares the crap out of me.

 

If you want I can get the wires made for you and then install it with you next time we meet up. That is if you would want to do it the way i did; thats the only way I know lol

 

LOL. Dude, whatever works for you would work for me as well! I kinda like the way this one was done because it looks super clean after its done, kinda like it came like that from the factory. Gives it an oem look sort of speak. If you'd be up for doing it I'd definitely be up for it as well. I'm sure you'd have to buy parts so I'd definitely pay you back, and some extra too for your time.

 

Yea its super clean and if you want to remove it and go back to 100% stock it will take 1 minute. Its complete plug & play once you have the wires and remove the relay. $10 or free would be be the most i'd charge ya, depending on if my dad can get the stuff from work for free.

 

Naw man, free won't work for me. I have to pay you for something. And even $10 is nothing to be honest. No question about it or push back from you. Seriously. Sign me up. I'm in! Suggestion, before you pull away from the dealership, pop the hood and verify they removed the puke bottle from under the oil filter housing and check the oil level...

My Saturday consists of stacking firewood for the week in the garage, a bit of work in the basement, and going with a couple of friends to one of the local outdoor stores - either Cabela's or Bass Pro. And make sure you put a pic of the gun when you get it. Now with two little ones at home, and with the fucked up world we live in now, more and more I think about getting one but the wife ain't having it.

 

Wasn't me with the oil change... Back in the mid 80's, I was a mechanic for several years. Being a cheap Porkchop, I can't bring myself to pay for something I can do on my own. Truck only sees the dealership for warranty work - which they didn't do correctly... Hence the single finger salute each time I drive past the dealership in Watertown!

My wife wasn't interested in having firearms in the house either but it's a quarter mine...
Actually what I think changed her mind was the Cheshire home invasion. She even got her permit all on her own.

 

Popped the hood before leaving and all was well. Luckily I haven't had any issues with the dealership I go to.

On the gun thing, even with that event the wife still wasn't having it. I think I'm just not going to win that argument with her.

 

Ohh man ya idk wtf I had but it was bad man vomiting all night 3days in a row (real funn) I actually even had to call out 2 days in a row at work which NEVER happens, but I'm thru most of it now. .... I think I hope hahaha. Ya those dealerships are funny. Always get a second opinion before ever going with the dealership repair estimates.

 

Glad you're feeling better! And yeah, dealership work is always an arm and a leg, not to mention they probably try to get you for other stuff too.

 

Yaaa I think everyone has that issue with the wife/girlfriend before, that was one of the biggest reasons my X and I split up she thought that carrying a firearm daily was stupid and that it's just asking for trouble this and that and then my favorite the hypothetical situation where the kids that we don't have got a hold of one what about that. My answer never changed I say if your in an environment with kids and you don't properly/safely store them you have no business owning a firearm PERIOD..So ya here I am single now but still exercising my 2nd amendment rights aka BEING AMERICAN haha. But ya I agree a .357 snub nose is next on my list as well

 

Yea we could meet up earlier if you're really itchin to get it done haha, when you see how easy it is you're not gonna want to pay me more than $10
