Every now and then my v6 2011 tacoma lags to start. Sometimes I can just sit there and crank it for about 5 seconds. Battery is less than 2 years old (duralast) the truck has approximately 100k miles.. Any ideas mechanic heads???

I know you said the battery is pretty new, but I'd have it tested to see if it's good.

Likely the spark plugs. When have they been replaced throughout the 100k miles?

There have been several posts on this recently. Common issuein the newer 2nd Gens. Not sure what it is but mine does it. Dealer is no help.

The lag first happened about a month after I bought mine. After that, it happened about once every couple weeks. Finally after two yrs, I took it to the dealership and the battery tested bad. Toyota switched out my battery and she lagged again the next day after I got off work.
This week, I swapped out my spark plugs and so far so good! Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

I have not have them changed. Ever. I bought the truck a few years ago with 50k miles on it. I doubt the previous owner ever changed them out. I've been thinking about putting new plugs in anyhow

Toyota recommends that they be changed every 30k miles on the v6 engine. I don't abide by that, but this is the guideline. So replacing the plugs may very well resolve your problem.
