I see the screws but what part of the vent are the screws anchored to? Does the vent still function in terms of the damper movement?

Engine shuts off when you open the door? Push button start in your truck? I'm looking for a work around for the engine shutoff. It annoys me that Toyota doesn't allow seamless "handoff" for keyless entry/push start vehicles. I don't want the added strain of double starting my truck every morning. Please correct me if this is all ignorant ranting

I used to be a 12V technician before I went to being an electrician. Best way I can describe why it does that is because a remotes starter just tricks the car into thinking the key is there when it's not via the Bypass module. You still have to step on the brake to start the vehicle/shift out of park, so with the engine shutting off and then turning on is just so the ECU will read the real key vs the fake one. I have not found a way to bypass it and well legally couldn't with my job so never really went too far into figuring that out. You can call Directechs customer support and they might be able to provide further detail since they make the DBALL/4x10/5x10 etc. The other thing is having the vehicle start again right after it shuts off is really no worse then letting it idle for 15-25 minutes.
