Does the Hi-Lift Bumper Lift work with 2nd Gen?

    I did a search and nothing turned up. Does the Hi-Lift Bumper Lift (
    $40 BL-250 Bumper Lift, Black
    BL-250) work with 2nd gen without bending the bumper? The I am a little nervous about lifting my truck from the bumper...it doesn't feel extremely sturdy. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    FWIW, I have a sport with the painted bumper...not the chrome plated one.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    if u wanna lift w/ a hi lift, the best bet would be a set of sliders. have no idea about the bumper tool though. dont think i'd jack the weight of the truck on our stock rear bumper

    3 in Ultimate ToyTec, set @ 2.5 in. AAL PINCH Weld Mod ( beat the pinch weld over inside the fender) Painted the pinch weld on bottom of cab Black Hi Lift Knock off
    ^x2 But even if the rear bumper lift works you would still need a way to get the front lifted.

    yea he is right... i mean it work but it looks sketch in my opinion.... i got me a set of sliders and there great.... one of the most all around mods ive come across....

    I wouldn't touch any part of my stock truck with a Hi-Lift. You pretty much have to go aftermarket.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    they do have the rim lift attachment, but it kinda defeats the purpose if u wanna get that wheel off

    Not on the current gen's. The bumper is mostly a plastic facade. The actual bumper is a small piece of aluminum behind it. Talking about the rear bumper?

    Thanks so much for the input, guys. Yes, I was talking about the rear bumper. I got stuck a few weeks ago - I bought the jack and ORK so I can winch myself out if I ever get stuck again. I was just looking for a way to utilize it for lifting as well. I did end up ordering the bumper lift and wheel attachment. For the front I could use the wheel attachment and a jack stand to change a tire if ever so required.

    Again, thanks for the input!

    The Hi-Lift instructions state not to lift more than one tire at a time. I can't come up with a way to lift from the hitch without lifting the whole back end...unless you know something I don't. ;)

    True, but if you've got a jackstand it works well, plus a jackstand should be used anyway in case the truck slides off the jack. I've used my HiLift/wheel attachment a couple times now and it's worked well. Only problem I had was I forgot to loosen the lug nuts while it was still on the ground the first time, so had to lower, loosen, and jack it back up.
