I think a lot of guys are out at Superstition this weekend.

I'm headed up to Big Bear tomorrow to go snowboarding for the first time ever

Anyone know if they require you to use chains if you have 4x4? Is it one or the other or both? I bought some just in case but they were fuckin' expensive, woof

 

Pretty sure you'll need to have them on tomorrow even if you're 4WD since another storm is moving in.

 

Currently R2 chains restrictions. Chains are only required if you do not have 4x4. I came up the 18 through appley valley today and the road was totally clear until i got up to big bear. Traffic on the 38 and 18/330 was horrible.

 

You do have to carry chains. You can get a ticket for not carrying them. They could move to R3 and require chains on all vehicles tomorow, depending on weather.

 

Its snowy.

 

I never managed to get the hang of stopping on my own, so I'd just end up making myself fall when id start going too fast lol

 

Tape a pillow to your ass to save yourself a week of sitting funny.

 

And then I had no idea how bad my thighs would be hurting. First time ever my friends took me up to the very top of the mountain in big bear, gave me a quick little crash course and then sent me on my way. Took me just about an hour to get down the mountain due to all the stops and falling. Then to top it off, I bought a whole day pass, and after coming down that one time, I was too exhausted to go anymore..

 

hahaha, my brother plays hockey too and he told me that skiing is actually easier than snowboarding for us hockey dudes...apparently the stopping motion for skiing is more akin to skating. Snowboarding is a different beast altogether, at least that's what he told me.

Going with a new girl I've been seeing for a few weeks now so we'll see how it goes, lol.

 

I used to be pretty good at wakeboarding, so hopefully some of that technique comes in handy lol

well, I took her ice skating on our 2nd date when she didn't know how so this is her way of getting back at me, lol
