I was always under the impression that the Sport was ment to be more of an on road driver and the OR was much more the off road driver.

Your tacoma does not weigh 5600 pounds unless you have half a ton of additional mods

The magnetic suspension in the sierras is like riding on a cloud. Amazing ride for a truck!

What do you mean, shorter wheel base, between the sport and OR?

That is my impression as well. But I honestly think folks just see Off Road and think the suspension must be better as it's designed to take the bumps. I got the sport based on I like to drive, and wanted the better handling truck for banging through the corners (sliding around the dirt logging ones) and got the manual trans cause I like to drive.

A side note, my truck has been at the body shop and dam do I miss it. I used to like driving our Subby Outback, but that sucks now that I have been driving the 17 Sport Taco

Thanks for the morning laugh :D

Also I do not know if it has been discussed yet, but the OR rides nice because of 16" wheels and sidewalls as thick as Beyoncé's thighs. The sport has 17" wheels and shorter sidewalls.

So... one buys a truck and complains that it rides like one. Would one also buy a V8 Camaro or Mustang and then complain that the engine is too loud?

OK my dumb, (face palm) but the lightest 2002 tundra was 3794 and the lightest 2017 taco is 3980.

Can confirm. I have 16" snows on my Sport right now, and the ride is softer.
But I do find the suspension bouncy.

My rides a lot nicer with my 16" ko2s. I kind of want to toss on the OR shocks though.

I bought my Sport AC for the long bed and manual transmission. Drove 4 hrs both ways to pick her up and bring her home. My initial impressions were that the ride was firm and bouncy. Dealer filled the tires to 36#'s. I'm running at 30# now and the ride is substantially better. Placard on driver side door jam recommends 29# for the 265x65x17's. Perhaps OP could try playing with pressure before trying more expensive options?

Thats at least partially true... My TRD sport has thinner sidewalls than stock by a LONG shot and rides nearly as comfortably. Grips the road a hell of a lot better though ;)

So are folks saying the tires on the sport are thinner? While I agree the sidewalls are not as wide/tall depending on how you think about it, but the tire thickness, hmmm.
