I have noticed that there is a positive camber on my 05 taco. would it be control arms causing this? (It just had an alignment according to precious owner)

Get an alignment and go from there? Are you stock suspension?

I took it to get an alignment and the shop said I needed control arms and it would be $1300... which seems really high

And yes I am stock suspension

Are the lower control arm cams seized? The shop said you needed control arms, did they say upper or lower?

I'm guessing the cams are rusted/seized.

If it's UCAs you can buy a set for 400-700 depending on the brand, and replace them yourself. Takes about an hour a side, and I'm not a mechanic.

If it's LCAs, you can get bushings and bolts for a few hundred and pay someone to do that.

The spec for camber on our hunter machine at work is +.6 and from what I can tell, yours doesn't look bad. If it is off a little, the cams in the LCAs should be able to fix it.
