My 07 hasn't given me a bit of trouble, just maintenance and wear items. My 4Runners have been the same. I had three (06, 07, 08) and we got rid of the 07. Our 06 has 169,6xx miles and feels and drives so tight.

I can't complain about my truck or my 4Runners. I love um!

The fact that the probability of someone forking over 35-40k CASH for any vehicle is near impossible in this economy.

Also through some investigative reading into his simple post he's says "I'll be selling to recover most of my cost."<---This would imply he needs to sell private party to get out of a hole the loan probably cost him. And we all know the dealership will fuck him running if he tries to trade it in on a new one.

And JoeCOVA, you've been in a bunch of these threads talking "buy cash, buy cash, buy cash". And maybe you can, but take a look around, majority of these trucks are on loans. That would be my initial, (maybe ill informed) knee jerk reaction. But the facts are there.

There hasnt even been a "bunch" of threads. There was one thread. But you haven't presented facts, only assumptions, even logical its still an assumption.

I assumed he paid cash if he is recovering the majority of his money, his loss would be mostly taxes and dealer fees.

FWIW, cash isnt impossible in this economy, if you have a job and save your money then its possible, its that simple, its only impossible if you buy a something beyond your means.

I learned long ago to avoid the first year of a model change. As a '17 owner for going on 4 months with no issues, I still find this apparent lack of quality control a little concerning. My thinking is the design itself is not the issue, but assembly perhaps.

Okay, a bunch of your POSTS in one thread. I actually did present facts for my assumptions. This isn't a court of law, and you aren't judge. Hell you haven't presented ANY facts about anything in this subject matter, in this thread OR the other(s). You just ASSUME if "people have a job, then can save money". That is a HUGE assumption.

Doesn't change your unrealistic view on "buy with cash". It would take several years to save up that kind of money to buy a vehicle cash with the average consumer.

This is exactly what I was saying, thank you smitt.

No you did not, please provide empirical evidence supporting your facts.

I don't need to present facts because I'm not making any absolute statements, I specifically said I assumed.

You are right it would take several years for a consumer to save their money to buy a car cash, which is what people who pay cash do....my truck replaced a '97...my '15 car replaced an '08 car...

As soon as you provide empirical evidence that buying a vehicle with cash is probable.

Me and everyone else who does, I myself am proof of this, my wife before she was my wife, my parents, her parents, my friends, etc etc.

Instead of paying $600 on a car loan you put it in savings and after a few years you can pay cash

Because we have the time to spend posting on TacomaWorld, due to not being stuck at the Service Departments getting yet another Turd Gen issue fixed.

Everyone who pays cash for their car can speak for themselves, its clearly probably to the cash payers.
