I'll be 9 more years at 62. I'll have my military retirement plus social security plus what I have in tsp.

 

I don't want my retirement party to be my wake

 

I would LIKE to retire now, I PLAN to retire at 65

 

I'm shooting for 62 !

@Cypherian - Just hooked up the charger and Tapped off the windshield washer circuit. Works with the key on. That and my Auxiliary lights is the extent of added electrical add-ons. Sorry I can't test remote while phone is charging with this setup.

Well... I was going to retire this October when I turn 60. But I may ne reconsidering... I went to my boss and his boss, and explained some things to them about my workload, and simply told them that if we can't get me some help, so that I can quit working 60 hours weeks (which could easily turn into 70-80) in April when one of my engineers goes on 12 weeks of maternity of leave, that I was planning to submit my retirement paperwork for October - that I was simply no longer interested in working those kinds of hours.

They talked a good game, and if they follow through, I may work a few more years... Could make a positive difference in my retirement lifestyle. I seriously used to love my job. But last couple of years have been brutal, and I learned to despise it.

Yeah a lot of folks sit on them for a investment, and keep the mileage low.

 

For me the problem to retire "early" is health insurance. Period.
You can save and all that but paying out mega bucks for very week will wipe you out.
So now who knows what the hell insurance and retirement will be like now...

 

This is True! I'll be able to keep mine through the County, but it'll be more than I'm contributing now. We have some peeps hanging on just for the Benys!
