It is actually 312,000 now, just turned yesterday....

Front rotors and pads replaced numerous times. I have lost count, probably 4 times during my ownership.

Fronts are EZ, rears are a PITA...

Auto? Manual? Has it spent all its life in the Bay Area? If so even more impressive on the mileage, given all
    the stop and go traffic

Auto, spent first 8+ years in California, then 5.5 years in Southwest Virginia in a town called Floyd (lots of hills near the Blue Ridge Parkway), now back in California....and, yes, original tranny, I have changed fluids regularly, tranny, rear end and faithfully the oil...I even swap out the PS fluid on occasion...never had a problem with the AC...original and still works great when needed....

Not to say things haven't needed replacing, cats and alternator come to mind, battery three times, suspension stuff etc....most recently I had to replace the third member, found one from a member here in fantastic shape with low mileage, EZ swap out....pinion bearings started to go bad....

One more thing to fix, the oil leak from rear of intake manifold, not looking forward to that job, that is a fairly new problem....

All in all, a very good vehicle considering I paid $5000 for it with 140,000 on the odometer in 2008...

Rears haven't needed replacing before prolly due to not really ever needing to be used. If you were carrying weight in the back every now and then or more frequently, the rear brakes would see more use and wear. LSPV does that automatically for you.

Do you always use OEM parts to replace the old ones or aftermarket?

OEM for ball joints, tie rods and oil filters, aftermarket for about everything else except third member and different year OEM Tacoma alloys...obviously things like interior body buttons and little things like that I get at the dealer...

list of stuff purchased off top of my head not OEM...

    Bilsteins
    Alternator
    Battery
    Center support bearing
Universal joint (only one, not all)
Poly steering rack bushing kit (A real PITA, and time to do it again 8+ years later)
    AAL
    Axle wrap fix
    Wheel spacers
    Front cat (rear still original)
    Both O2 sensors
Plugs (Oem brand, but not from dealer)
    Plug wires
Headlight Housings (Clear lens Crystal, far superior light output compared to OEM)
    Non OEM blubs (legal bulbs)
    Rear bumper
    Air filters
All fluids (oil, gear oil, transmission oil, brake fluid, PS fluid, antifreeze, washer fluid)
    Aftermarket driving lights
    Wiper blades

    Probably missed something...

Yup, I missed the Hella horns, much better than OEM squeakers

No one touches my truck except for new tire installs and alignments...

I try and keep her well maintained mechanically...it has paid off rather well...

Hey James. I sure hope you meant the pinion bearing went bad on your old third and not the unit I sold you!

Thats funny, my 2013 RC (Manual) drums squeak every time I back out of the driveway, I've only got 49k on mine. :annoyed:

I'm sure its just a matter of cleaning out those drums and I'd be good.

I am curious to know what brand of transmission fluid and engine oil you have used.

First off, that's incredible to get 300K+ outa those rear brakes! Today I picked up a set of Monroe OE Spectrum shocks/struts to replace the originals on my 96 EC 2.4L with 345,9xx miles, after noticing it felt kinda "bouncy" and using the jump-on-the-bumper test, which made my little 5-lug shake like a bowl full of jelly.

Couple weeks ago, had my 3rd fuel pump installed, but still runs strong and the valve cover's never been off.

I was thinking the same! Ive never had to touch the rears on my trucks either, those rears just dont see much useage. The fronts do all the work! I believe it takes a good bit of weight in the bed to really start using the rear pads up...

Another oops, two new windshields, the most recent was three weeks back...obviously non OEM, I don't want to even think about OEM windshield cost at dealer...
