ARIZONA TOYOTA MEET 2017

@KevinK and @Bagow and I took the scenic route out last night and had a great time as mentioned earlier and I wanted to post up some photos and say thanks to them for a cool adventure. Some really nice people on this forum.

 

Hope you like the bacon. I just got done with some myself. Slept from 9 o'clock to 10:30 this morning.

 

It was good. THANK YOU for bringing it for all of us.
I was a bit skeptical at first, but when I smelled it my mouth started watering. Me and the lab had a puddle of slobber on the floor.

 

I'll be down for some of that bacon next time you get some. I seen people slanging bacon all over the parking lot yesterday ha ha.

Bacon pimp in the house. That shit is so good you don't even have to give the first ones out for free.

 

Looks like it was an awesome meet. Wish I could of attended it. Oh well, maybe next time.

I was telling my buddies in Speed Glampers Uberfahrt (IG @uberfahrt - were also an overland group in the southwest) about the trip and here is someone's Cliff Notes version of what I told them.

Trip was awesome, and if I met you, please tag me or quote this post. I suck at names and want to try to connect the dots while it's still fresh in my head. We met so many awesome people and I remember like 1 name.

Dude, I wish I got a video of you reversing up that hill. I was, "Ohh he's reversing so @freddy2923 can have room to drive up the hill. NOPE, FUCKER IS LEGIT REVERSING UP THE HILL".

 

Yeah, we do day trips, weekend camping trips, and longer trips. I'll try to keep the calendar on PhoenixOverlandGroup.com updated (plus I have a ton of gear reviews and trip reports to add) If any of you see a trip they would like to join, shoot me a PM or contact through the site. Also if any of you want to do a trip but don't want to go alone, let us know, we can usually mobilize pretty quickly and join in.

Haha! That was fun. Also the reason we applied for Team Sideways. But we were late to the trailhead, so we were Team of One Sideways.

I'll be sure to follow your site and add you to our list of folks to reach out to when we have an open spot on any of our trips. We mostly do 3-5 days and can be anywhere in AZ, CA, NV, UT, CO or NM.

Awesome! Yeah, that James Baroud is a game changer for sure. It does to RTT camping what RTTs did for ground tent camping.

 

@KevinK Did I see you on Idaho a little after 10 a.m. yesterday heading up there? I saw a Tundra with a hard lid RTT heading North just before the freeway and I did a double take cause the truck was so nice.
