    Not sure if ur serious... I crammed ~$2700 under my hood and wasnt sure if was gonna shut

    Speaking of build threads, need some advice if you guys/gals have a second.

    Debating between getting a bed rack that works with my tonneau or just getting one that I would have to remove the tonneau to use to save money. The tonneau compatible is $600-$700. The other is $250.

    Which would you guys go with?

    I mean I like it. But it is removable and not that hard to put back on really. I'm just debating if I would ever use them at the same time. For right now I would only use the rack for the kayaks and possibly some lumber or something and I don't see using it for that in bad weather where the cover would be needed. I've just been thinking it to death and can't decide lol.

    It keeps the bed dry so you can use it in the rain without the stuff getting wet. I used it to haul shit home from the in-laws this weekend and everything was dry on arrival.

    I see your point but a tarp would leak more I feel and be a PITA. With the tonneau I just opened the tailgate and threw all the shit in and didn't have to worry about securing it or anything.

    I think it comes down to how often you would need to keep shit dry. Well that and how much work you want to go through each time. I mean I bought a cheap one that was like $200 but it works great.
