afaik, it's not illegal to record police while they're on the job. I'd still have to have the camera on me before getting stopped, showing my belt was on before the cop saw me.

I'll check with the state tomorrow, and if it's considered a moving violation, I'll use my "good driver" status. Otherwise, it's not worth my time to fight it.

 

Could have changed, long ago there was a case in MA where a driver was charged for audio recording a stop.

 

I believe because the police are a "public service" you can film them as long as it doesn't interfere with their job. You might also have to make them aware that you are filming if you plan to use it against them in court. Kind of a grey area depending where it takes place.

The Hyde case is the one I was thinking of. Wish I knew the names of the cops but Abington is one of the worst..had many an issue there.

Pats went 193 yards after the catch last night, too. Those are insane numbers for a playoff game.
