50+ thread

Trimming two mulberry tree yesterday is netting me some ditch lights, switches and brackets.
Climbing around IN the trees with a chainsaw in hand should be worth more, lost that negotiation session, still satisfied.

 

To be honest I like the solitude of going fishing away from the crowd. With just one other person for safety. I deal with people all week. Rather be away and quiet and listen to the wildlife.

 

I'm kinda looking at this as a trial run. If I like it great I'll sell it and bend some aluminum tubing and make a better lighter one. If I don't like it I'll sell it and do something different. Just something to play with. I guess it sounds strange to most my idea of having fun and playing is a little weird. We were at a home show today and I found a guy selling rough, industrial furniture that's a mixture of steel and wood. As we were talking he started to ask me questions about working the steel. Next I knew he invited me to come to his shop and help him figure some stuff out and hang out. As he's about 50 miles away we'll see

 

That may be the sound of opportunity knocking...

 

That does sound very peaceful. I have always been a fairly open person to dealing with people but as I get older not so much I'm kinda the guy that should be left alone in a shop to get work done

 

Yes it could very well be. So I didn't ignore the invitation. this guy makes some really pretty stuff especially wooden mantles. His eye to combine wood and steel was what caought my attention. Mind you the steel isn't painted either just smoothed, finished, and a clear coat.

 

I like mine I didn't get fancy lights but it all came together well

 

Yes me too. Give me the job, don't ask how much longer every 30 min on a 4 hour job.
When you do elect shit like I do I need 100% uninterrupted concentration.

I always looked for that goal , sort of found it with the pups not many people want to be near them :} But if I could it would be a small fab shop bring in what you want fixed or drawings for something to be made drop it off I will tell you how much and when it will be done . Don't come back or call till It is the day I told you :]

yes and it's just like I'm fine working on these guys trucks as long as they're not in the way or somewhere that I deem unsafe. There have been others until they insulted me or lied then they're o their own. I.ve never been God's gift to anything but I like to do as good as I can

 

Dragging a rubber worm along the bottom just waiting for something to grab hold and take off with it. Or playing with a topwater lure on a calm surface when it gets hit from out of the blue. I miss largemouth bass.

 

Oh yea.
Sunrise, dead calm. Throw a top water. Make it dance, and watch the explosion.
