Good point. Probably not often. I guess I could get real creative and mount some roof rack type bars to the hard one to haul the yaks lol.

It's nice when I go hunting 6 hours from home & my clothes & gear are dry when I get there. I've been on the other end & it's not fun.

Mine is mounted under my cover, it's mounted down the side. It's just below the covers track.

You can use the Thule bars like my friend did, he had this with a roll n lock cover. His taco was totaled & he's selling his bars & baskets.

That's the setup I was thinking, then mount the kayak holders to the basket. Damn is that the price he is selling those for? I wish I lived closer.

Yeah thats the price, I thought about buying it & when I go hunting put clothes & gear that can't get wet under the cover & put a couple coolers in the basket or on the bars. Just don't know if the bars can hold the weight if the coolers are full.

 

I mean just that price for the rack is a steal I think. I haven't researched prices much though. You could go with the KB Voodoo or Mobtown bed bars for more support/higher weight limit. I think they are rated for RTTs.

Yeah but the rack mounts to the rail & so does my cover. They won't work together.

 

The KB Voodoo and mobtown ones work with tonneau covers. Well at least the type I have from what I have researched.

 

So my dad got invited by a friend to go on a night time helicopter boar hunting trip. He said it was the most amazing thing he has ever done lol. Shooting with night vision scopes out of a helicopter etc.

I'd like to hunt hogs, but they haven't really became a problem. Coyotes are another nuisance animal I want to hunt. Hard here in east KY with all the woods n hills, no big open fields

 

There's a farmer out where my dad regularly hunts that lines up his fence with the dead coyote carcasses year round. Between those and the hogs its amazing anything can survive back there and that the farmers can actually grow shit. The hogs tear down all their fences and barriers.
