My name is Jason and I live in Sacramento, CA. Like many before me, I lurked for months, possibly a year, before joining the community. Such an indispensable resource for all things Tacoma. I started to feel like I should contribute, so here I am.

I bought my Tacoma from my long-time girlfriend because she purchased a 2013 Acura RDX with 800 miles on it for a price that was very difficult to pass up. I had a 2006 Tundra AC. I really liked that truck, but it just wasn't practical as a family vehicle.

I have plans for "the mule," but responsibilities dictate the pace of the project, plus it's my daily driver. All I've done is put 5100s all around and had a local blacksmith (old-school legit blacksmith shop since late 1800s) re-arch the leaf springs and add an extra thick leaf. That gave me about 2.5" in front and about 3" in back.

I wired up a light bar up front and a pair of pods under the rear bumper. Put a Leer cap on earlier this year. It came with a BedRug, which I actually like more than I thought I would. There's so much more I want to do, but I have to be reasonable.

I blame TW for my to-do list:
    • F&R bumpers
    • Another set of wheels w/off-road tires (leaning 285/75 or 255/85)
    • Front springs (Toytec?)
    • Cab and cap racks (leaning PrInSu or 8020 home brew)
    • Wireless controller for accessories (working on a possible 8-channel wifi unit)
    • Air compressor and tank
    • Tundra brake swap (or similar)
    • Hood struts
    • More lighting (under-hood, interior cap, side and rear of rack)
    • USB outlets for rear passengers
    ~ Cheers
