Was thinking of getting these tires. Seems like they wear at an incredible rate, regardless of rebates, no thanks.

It seems like about half of the accelerated wear is because they don't ship at the advertised tread depth (~1-2mm shallower) Wear rate seems acceptable if you measure against the lower tread depth

I asked this same question many pages ago - because my 2015 Access Cab is equipped with a 2.7 four cylinder.

how you likin your new tyrs? I stalked this thread on like day one and was kind of dickish in here due to to lack of pics. After going through a bunch of pages. They look pretty nice :hattip:. I am wondering how they would hold up wheeling in the rocks here on the North East

Loving them so far. They are fresh though. I haven't had them in any heavy duty rocks. They have out performed expectations in the sand and snow. Silent on road.

So I've had my tires for about 10 months and 11k and figure I would chime in. Got the 285/75/17 so they supposed to start at 18/32, but pretty sure the tire place measured in at 17/32. 11k later and about to rotate again I'm at 15/32 in the middle and 14/32 on the edges. IMO that is great wear and nothing to worry about. At this rate even if they were 18/32 new it would mean roughly 55-65k out of them as advertised. I will pull my install receipt to double check the new readings by the shop.

Overall noise is still minimal. Obviously a little noisier than new, but I still can't hear them over any music and have to really try to hear them over just wind noise. Wet weather is great and the limited dry trails I have been on was good as well. I've hit some big puddles lately and never once felt and traction loss. Haven't been to the snow so no review there.

I definitely recommend them especially on a DD as the ride is great, tires look aggressive and very easy on the wallet.

    I agree with @SCRunner12

The A/T3W is an awesome choice if you daily drive your rig. They work well in most conditions (I'm still impressed with the wet pavement traction), are quiet, look decent, and are dirt cheap. I paid $450 including shipping- less than half what I paid for the Duratracs they replaced.

    Worth every cent.

So I swapped these back on since I'm about to do 3,000 miles of driving in the next couple weeks and didn't want to listen to the studded snow tires for 20 hours back and forth to Michigan.

If anyone is curious slightly worn (3/32ish worn) standard load 265/70R17 on stock rims with TPMS weigh in at 66 pounds. And Cooper M&S same size 50% worn with studs weigh in at 60 pounds
Also cranes make tire changes easier haha

I've been stalking this forum for years. Finally registered.
You guys convinced me to try the Falkens. I'm at the dealership getting 40k mile service and the Falkens in 265/70 17 mounted. Hope I don't have any rubbing issues.

Assuming you are using stock wheels and suspension you should be ok. Might have a very slight rub at full lock, and might hear something at full lock and going into reverse.
    I'm battling that right now

You guys were spot on! I like them alot!! Can't beat them for the price. I have some rubbing in reverse. Didn't notice any going forward at full lock. Now to get it leveled out and remove the awful stick on skewp!

20170125_125448.jpg 20170127_114437.jpg I've had them on for exactly a week. I put 1000 mIles on them already!!!!! Got them put on last Friday and drove straight up to the mountains. They were awesome in powder and packed snow, ice, rain, and on the dry highway. Very quiet on the highway. They are heavy and I do feel a little loss in power but besides that I love these tires so far. I went with 285/75/16 on a rim with 4.5"bs. I'm currently running 35 psi in them.
