    I would have but I found a deal on ebay on some light grey ones that I couldn't pass up. Only $450 shipped for all the covers brand new. Guy said he didn't like the color and waited too long to return them.

    That's what really sold me. The leather covers on my rear seats are already a light grey and I think they look great so I can't wait!

    Self tappers? I ran bolts through the bed with metal backing plates on the backside and washers in the front. No way I want that becoming a projectile in a collision.

    I believe so. Being I still have my arm in a sling from a collision anyway, that was the best I could do at the moment. Although I'm not sure even with that setup, that it still couldn't come out of the mount itself.

    Yeah there is always a situation that might kill you. I just try to put as much preventative protection in place as possible. The irony of being killed by something that should help saves lives would be high!

    Although I'm sure it's happened somewhere, in 25 years in EMS, I haven't heard of anyone getting killed in this manner. It would be more dangerous if it were mounted in the cab.

    I haven't taken the controls apart myself, but I would be surprised if it has bulbs in it. Much more likely to find SMD LED's.
