At least you do not live in the Bay area or LA/SD county. Sucks how some drag ass as long as they can.

I have my El Dorado County permit right now, but recently moved to Marin County and am in the process of trying to get my permit. Not looking forward to the wait. I think already having a CCW permit helps me a little, but still not hopeful.

I can measure it on my long bed, does that work or you want short bed measurements only?

Curious what you put down for the good cause. When I got mine in El Dorado County, they said to put "to protect myself" and I was basically cleared. lol

sadly Solano demands a Good Statement explaining your reasoning. We simply cant put "self defense".

I elaborated on how im often without signal in very rural areas at all hours of the day and that would cause me to be unable to reach first responders if a situation came up. I would be self reliant on my own protection and safety along my travels.

Not verbatim but you get the idea. Ill let you all know if it was accepted or not though.

Good luck with that. I am at work so I can not get you the link but there is a map on calguns that shows all the counties in CA and if they are "shall issue or "no issue" and such. I believe Marin is a no issue county

Hell that sounds like a good enough reason to me. Shouldn't be a problem getting cleared with verbiage like that.... but hey, with a state like CA, I guess one can never be too sure about shit.

Time to move, I wouldn't live in any county that does not allow its citizens to carry. Could not imagine that local PD and SO get much support from the county or city if they don't support CC
