Yeah whats interesting though, is when I spoke with the CCW lady at the Marin County sheriffs office last month, and told her my situation, she seemed like it wouldn't be a big deal. I feel like I would have been shut down right there or given a groan if it was too good to be true. She even gave me her direct number for when I was all moved in and ready to start the new process. So not sure what the deal is, unless she gave me a false number and started laughing at me after she hung up the phone. lol which wouldn't surprise me either.

Sacramento County went to a Self Defense reasoning. Lucky bastards.

Solano has a new person in charge and hes approving a lot of them with good reasoning. 3 of my friends just were approved.

Having one already may be legit. Only thing your going to loose is the $$$ trying to get one in Marin.

To be honest, it sucks hella for people like me and you who are pro-carry. But in a county like Marin, where I am now, most people dont like that stuff, and actually appreciate less armed folks. It doesnt seem to bother many people. But yeah, after my wifey gets through her RN program here in Marin county, ill be throwing my shit in the U-Haul and moving out. lol

They could just want your $$$$ to process it all then they just deny them all. I'm pretty sure they have to process people but do not have to "approve" any if that particular county does not support CC

Yeah no kidding. Still going to cost me a arm and leg even if I did somehow scoop under the system and become eligible for a permit.

Aren't CCW permit application fees currently capped?

Looking for a bit of advice from you frequent snow folks. Where's the best place to go for a family snow trip? No lifts, ski runs, epic freshy pow pow necessary. Just a good spot to go rent a cabin with the fam and do some fun snow play, sledding, snowball fights etc. Also bonus would be NOT the most crowded shit show full of city dwellers coming to get their "snow day" on. Double bonus if its cheaper... Feb 7-10

    Tahoe? Shasta? Bear Valley? Yosemite?

I've never planned a trip to the snow without snowboarding being the main focus, this is new uncharted territory for me... any suggestions appreciated, specifics preferred! Thanks homies.

They are all about the same at least up here in NorCal. Livescan is $120 or so and $80 or so for the County. CCW classes vary greatly.

Lake Almanor right now is covered in fresh snow. Plenty of places to play around and have a nice cabin and picturesque views.

That could be it too, but I'm not entirely sure. Yeah, I think the old Sacramento County Sheriff got in huge trouble for that; taking people's application fees and still disapproving all of them. Not cool. We will have to see...

there is hundreds of miles of trails nearby, but not plowed so its at your own risk. I could tell you a few places i frequent for you to check out. Wave at my family cabin while you're there for me.
