Can you have a garage that isn't too small?

I have been looking at housing and land near Cottonwood a lot. I'll be renting the first year but if I get a permanent position we may be looking at purchasing either a chunk of land or a cheap house. It's truly difficult to find a decent garage anywhere. Some have shops but even then they are on the small side for shops. I still want to buy a large chunk of land, build a shop and live in that until it's paid off.

I might end up single if I make that choice though .

 

U use the cut off and what not to direct the light so the brighter in the area the better. If done poorly u blind ppl. So if ur not blinding people then why wouldn't you want more light if it was ok. But ur headlight housing is small and mines much bigger so it may be too much heat for yours

 

God every time i haven't been in powell ive been without a shop. I fucking HATE it. Its a requirement for my way of life far as im concerned.

Gotcha. I haven't read if the 55w are too much for our housings. Can't imagine they would be. I was going to go that route because why not? Mostly curious as ive seen Mike's in person.

I think the truck needs to live outside. Get over it. Move the car in. Let your freaking wife have a warm car to drive to work everyday and make it your work area. Suck it up and leave the taco outside.

35 watt

Mine are pretty damn bright. A whole lotta light output. I can't imagine ever needing 55 watters.

I have heard that 35s will last longer that 55s.

 

You are right about bulb life. I'm not displeased with my 35s but I like more light all the time

Shop first, otherwise it will never get done. I do know of a guy though that built the shop first with every intention of living there just long enough to build the house...long story short 10 years later the old lady took off.

I too am stuck in double bay hell, fortunately the father in law has a 2100sqf automotive/woodworking shop.

 

Did see a brz up here with snow tires and rally flaps and it was mobbing in the snow. I would drive it.

 

Yea i have been seriously spoiled with my Dads shop and a huge car shop at my disposal the last 6 years...hard to leave it.

Well the hiring freeze is not retro-active and officially started on the 22nd. Wording is vague and it's unclear if you need to be at your desk or have accepted an offer by the 22nd. I'll be calling HR tomorrow to get an update and then following up with a few positions with the wyo game and fish.

Yea its the perfect size to work on a dirtbike but thats about it.
