Quicksand in quicksand?

Does anybody know/tried/ experienced:
Does the quicksand color help you to actually get out of actual quicksand?

That's what my dealer told me but I don't know ...I'm kind of skeptical now and think i may have been bamboozled.

What say you?

It does most definitely. Just like my lunar mist metallic helps me with getting unstuck from those pesky metallic lunar mists.

When I was a kid I thought I would encounter quicksand often and it would be a major danger in my life. I have never seen real quicksand.

Yes, OP, your dealer is actually quoting a little-known fact that scientists have been taking advantage of for many years. First, it's important to understand what quicksand is: sand that has been diluted with water to the point that any movements result in further sinking. There is very little if any "foundation" to push-off from, so you end up sinking. Now, you know how white colours reflect light and dark colours absorb it? Well, sand is only able to absorb so much light/heat - lets say X amount - because it reflects the rest. That "rest" - let's call it Y amount - gets reflected outwards and lost. With the presence of another sand-coloured object (your quicksand truck), that same reflection in amount Y now gets reflected from your truck and into the sand that was previously missing it. The cumulative effect of heat from amounts X and Y combine to in an endothermic reaction to evaporate the water that "makes" quicksand what it is, thereby turning it into normal sand, and allowing you to keep moving on and out of it. So yeah, quicksand trucks definitely have a traction/survival advantage.

As I am currently watching my truck sink into the quicksand I encountered, I've determined the above statement is a lie.
