The traffic it's causing is insane. Scudder falls bridge and route 1 bridges into jersey are chaos in the mornings. Def has me rethinking my job search in the Horsham area too.

I see. Seems like stress crack(not a engineer) but if no indication that corrosion or something then probably stress or defect in metal? Yeah they gona stretch it out for as long as they can lol

Structural engineer here. If there is crack in one spot there will be multiple and sometimes they are covered with paint or dirt so it takes a while to do detailed inspection. Espically on large bridges. They probably have teams of engineers and after inceptions they'll have to come up with a proper solution and also figure out why it happened. It's going to take awhile. Hopefully it's not a design flaw.

My buddy and I ended up going to a pretty cool bar called Union Publick House in Jim Thorpe. Great selection of beers and the food was great!

Follow that abc6 link on the last page and look at the crack. Ain't no paint or dirt gonna cover that puppy! But I suppose there could be others. I agree with you - I'm expecting that the bridge will be out of service for a long, long time.

That bridge is a revenue generator. They have incentive to fix it as quickly as they can. But I still think it will be a long time.

    May be intrested as well.

There are a few other tires out there i like more but as long as they have good tread depth i may consider.

a majority of bridges were built over 60 years ago so that sounds right. Rivets used to be the standard but have since been phased out by nut and bolt.

Still doing it. It's been a construction zone for years.
