I was looking at 17x9 with -12 offset and saw on here that they will scrub cab mount.

Does anyone know if a 17x8 with -6 offset for? Planning on running 265/70r17. Right now I don't have a lift. I do have some 5100s to go on front and a aal for rear, but not installed yet.

3 inch low range offroad level lift running 285s on 17x9 with -12 offset
From what ive seen in dealing with my pickup the stock tires get pretty close to cab mounts on stock wheels. And they have +30 or +32 offset depending on your model. That -12 is really gonna set it out and make it closer to mounts and i think it will rub also. I can tell u my experience with my 2017 trd offroad, maybe it will help. 1 put a low range offroad 3/1 level lift with some17x9 -12 offset wheels with 285/70-17. They would scrub a little while turning into a parking lot or something. Im not sure if the 265/70 will scrub without a slight lift or not, but i took the 285s off due to the truck hated them. Stayed in fifth and fourth gear alot and was miserable to drive. I went with a 265/65 to get back to stock size. Still not liking the shifting but it will go into sixth. I plan on trying to trade it this week hopefully. Only 400 miles on it! Lol

I have 17x9 wheels with a -10 offset and 285/70/17 BFG KO2's. Without flexing, they only rub while in reverse at full lock. I am doing a CMC soon, just for more room but they really don't rub that bad currently.

The farther out the tire/wheel sits, the farther it is from the steering axis.
The farther out it is from the steering axis, the larger the arc/distance when turning.
With that width and offset, you increase this radius by 1.72"(43.7mm)
This is how/why width and offset affects the outside of the tire hitting the cab mount while turned.

IMO, on an 8' wheel, 0, +6, or +12mm offset would be a better choice; unless you need the backspace clearance.
    Here's a +12mm for comparison. It protrudes 1.01"(25.7mm).

Always good to have another resource but I like wheel-size.com. It is similar information to willtheyfit.com but offers a few more details about the output. You can see the data in action here: .

I ran 265/70/17 on 17x9 with -12 offset on my gen2 and had no issues with the cab mount. Just had to trim a little plastic on the inside fender. When I went to 285/70/17 I had to cmc. I'm thinking gen3 will be the same. I'm currently running 275/70/17 on 17x8.5 with 0 offset on my gen3 and it clears the cab mount. Just needed a little plastic trim inside fender.

I'm running Fuel Vapor wheels in 17x9" with a -12 offset and 4.5" backspacing wrapped in BF Goodrich KO2's in 285/70R17 and have ZERO RUBBING AND NO TRIMMING whatsoever, even when flexing or at full lock. The key to this is a proper suspension lift and replacing your upper control arms with an aftermarket version so that your alignment guy and properly adjust the tire within the wheel well. My truck is pictured as my profile picture here.

I have the same wheels and am experiencing some vibration since install. Do you use hub centric rings with the Vapors?

No, no rings were necessary. I have zero vibration issues at all. Maybe get whoever mounted and balanced your tires to try and rebalance them?
