If you think that one is bad, they are up to the CRJ 1000 which has even more of a fuselage stretch.

.80 cruise is still impressive in a plane that is designed with such great runway performance. It is all a compromise to find what works best for the person or company using it. Gulfstream's and Global's can make speed matter when it is carried over the long distances they fly. If a plane doesn't have long range the speed really doesn't translate to much difference real world. The company I flew a Citation V for looked at the Sovereign briefly and I thought it would be a great choice as short runway performance was high (in my opinion) on the priority list. The legs were too short for speed to be a factor so I never looked into what it cruised at.

At least the A330 looks normal. Thanks to you all I'm convinced that I'm gonna have to bring a little blue pill to get the RJ airborne. I already don't have a great history with Delta at DFW

I still want to see a modern version of the Gee-Bee R1, but with a CFM-56-7 for a power plant.

Fatal Kingair 300 crash yesterday at my airport - saw the smoke from my office window :(

N385KA was taking off 11L when it happened headed for Mexico. Plane crashed on the commercial ramp and then skidded for ~100 yards into a wall at the edge of the commercial ramp, just missing the terminal A jetways.

NTSB arriving this morning to investigate.

    No good.

I've only been to a few crash sights and only involving small aircraft. I hope I never see another.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Unfortunately, I have had the displeasure to be a part of a few big ones. The B-1 that blew up on the ramp in the middle east was during my time over there. The B-52 that crashed in Guam. A U-2 crashed in the middle east in the middle of the desert...

I got to be part of the at home investigation when the KC-135 blew up mid-air in Kyrgyzstan 4 years ago. It was my last aircraft I had flown on with the unit, and all the log books were located in our area. I had to go page by page looking for any work done to the aircraft in a 6 month time span.
