That's great. I'm sure mine weighs more than your bearded taco which could explain my suck fuel mileage. I'm hoping the summer blends will at least get me to 18mpg combined. I've never seen your numbers ever. Also, I've found the computer to show 1-1.5mpg higher than pen and paper.

I think you may have more tread on the ground too. Also other factors--temps, traffic, idle time, trip time etc. I'm sure folks driving distance where they don't have to accelerate/brake as much are getting much better mileage. Warm temps=warm gear oil and less drivetrain friction.

The other thing I found interesting about my experiment was how much more consistent mpg was at 55. Not just as shown in the above "screen" shot, I repeated this several times and got similar results. Especially with the CC set to 70, I'd get downshifts on some of the steeper overpasses and mpg would dip. Honestly, at 55, for all I know I was in 5th, not 6th, but rpms were about 1500 and the truck just cruised along nicely. At some point I was eager to get home, and even sitting at t the limit (70) seemed slow, so I turned off CC and concentrated on the road, not the dashboard. After I while I realized I was driving about 75-80 and mpg had dropped into the mid-teens. The percentage increase in fuel consumption and fuel cost between 16 and 24 mpg is pretty significant.

I don't have the mileage calculator on my econ model truck so all calcs are done by hand. Something I've noticed resetting Trip B in between 1/4 tank fulls.

The extra 1/8 tank over full is worth ~60miles
The 3/4 tank to full is only worth ~70miles.
the 1/2-3/4 tank is worth 70 miles
the 1/4-1/2 tank is worth 100miles
the Empty to 1/4 tank is worth 100miles

So, each 1/4 tank is worth 100miles with the 1/2-full marks adjusted for the 1/8 tank over the full mark on the gauge.

I have same truck (2016 4WD) and same numbers. Mine are a little worse. I changed to KO2 265/75 16 and it improved slightly. My quicksand has never run right but I seem to have given up. I need to call the dealer again.

Mine is the same color... maybe the sand is heavier? Just kidding... after the rev1 tsb it improved quite a bit... now I have 285s and as long as I keep it under 75, I get 16mpg on the highway, and I'm ok with that

Got 43 mpg today. Truck was in for LCA Tsb, and an alignment and tire Balance. Hopefully to fix a slight vibration in the steering wheel. They gave make a carolla with rubber band transmission as a loaner.

No...91 is an alternate method of rating. 87 (R+M)/2 is the SAME as 91 RON. Other countries sometimes rate their fuel on the pump as RON only. The Tacoma is rated for 87 "Regular" in the USA.

Especially pointless to use anything higher than 87 with 2.7 unless higher is E-0 and 87 is E-10. Cost of E-0 may make it not worth 3-4% better mpg.

nothing yet, just tacked on the all weathertech mats and using the free factory cover on the back of it
    long stretch of 45 mph. . .
avg is usually 22-23mpg mixed city/hwy (multiple manual crosscheck vs the computer Calc, it's always within 1mpg).
    flat & warm TX drives.

Looks more like they will use E-10 87, where you getting they use 91 on engines designed for 97?

Goober? My daily commute is partially on I-94 tween Chicago n Milwaukee at 70 - 80mph lest ya get run over. Since most of these trucks are mechanically the same, perhaps your mileage reflects your driving skills, eh? Have a bananna....

Finally got 23.33mpg on a tank over 385 miles! Averaged about 70mph... but also had ~20mph tailwind half the trip and lost about 3000 feet in altitude so really not impressed :-/
