while i am still technically employed at EA (until the end of feb), anyone in so cal can stop by the studio with me and buy mass effect 2 on the PC for $10 (consoles are $20).

i played the first bioshock and it scared/creeped the shit out of me. the second one came out the day i went to go pick up ME2 and i had a really hard time not getting it. but i only need one new game at a time, and i'd rather wait until i get some more "happy plant" before i get bioshock. i'm like to be scared and i'm very easily scared when i have "happy plant". i love games like that that have a rich story and is not just a bunch of killing

    hah!

EA is really wierd about their employees "reselling" games from the company store. EA tracks who buys what and how many copies of each title. if they see one employee buying lots of the same title, they get suspicious. they have fired and prosecuted others before.

but if other people in so cal picked up a few copies and then shipped one to another TW member, then there would be no implication to me..... errr.. but you didnt hear than from me :)

if you rent it you need to get it from some place that doesn't charge late fees (blockbuster does now btw) cause its gonna take a long time to beat. most games take 20 to 30 hours but this could easily take 100 or more, probably more. left 4 dead looked badass but my buddy rented it and said you have to have an online account to play it. i dont do online gaming

oh damn, thats a long time for one game. Kinda like fallout 3 and oblivion, I played those games for months!

l4d has single player mode but its not really worth buying unless your on live.

ya... i dont know how you could rent a game that requires online authentication play. once that copy of the game has been associated with a specific personal account, i dont see how that can be transfered to another user.

yeah its just like fallout 3. a never ending map with almost tons and tons of stuff to do. i never really got into final fantasy but i did like them because i felt like i got my moneys worth wehn i could play for 100+ before i beat it. i hate short games, i feel ripped off.

i was thinking more about PC games. they have authentication keys that are required for install and, for some games, required for the online account authentication.

yea thats true, the "cd key" you have to enter to install it. arent pretty much 99.9% of computers online today anyways?
