This stuff works wonders!! It's best when you add it anytime after you make any adjustment.

Something that is already rusted, would need to be cleaned up before applying this application.

^Indeed, I think they would serve you well.

I would never trust the manufacturer in the coatings on suspension parts. I wouldn't even trust King. Every part of the undercarriage is going to be subject to some kind of corrosion or another, if not regularly maintained; especially if you offroad or mud.

I coated my 5100s in a light coat of acrylic seal when I first got them. Do they look new? No, but I haven't washed them, and they are protected from rust.

Those boots will likely help, but be sure to check on the shock underneath every so often so you don't just assume it's fine because it's 'out of sight/out of mind'.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
i havn't been impressed with icons customer service. i would do whatever you have to do to take care of them. i doubt icon will be volunteering to take care of it for free.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    The upper mount is.

The threaded bodies are supposed to be CAD plated, which is a sacrificial metal (think Zinc plating). They also offer an "extreme weather" coating.

Well damn there goes my theory with Icon having some of the best coatings out there. I think I am going to do some cleaning on my coils today due to this. I would hit up Icon and see what they say, I think 6 months is pretty quick for these to get this bad for new coils.

I adhere to a strict maintenance wash schedule. My vehicles get washed every other Monday, regardless of weather. Coilovers look new. I also clearcoated them before installing. Any sacrificial barrier will help.

I have considered the neoprene boots, but am worried that they will trap moisture.

I use Daytona Speed master brushes on them. They can be bent to conform to the contours. Wheel Woolies are nice too.

About 5 years ago I developed a slight detailing obsession. ;) I think i have finally weeded out all the good products from all the marketing hype. Those brushes I use all the time. Great for wheels and engine bay.

Agree, condensation and moisture will stay in there and find a way to eat at the exposed untreated metals again. I would think it'd be worse to wrap them. They need to breathe. Maybe the covers are good in a dusty dry enviro, but WA state isn't that kind of climate.
