Me. Double clutch and rev match, baby. The NP435 in my '84 has a non-synchro'd 1st (granny) gear and I have yet to grind shifting into it.

Plus, I learned how to drive on a '57 Ford 600 tractor, and that definitely had zero synchros in any of the gears.

But really what inquiring minds want to know is...
    Are you wearing pants?

I dont have numbers but when i was searching about a year ago i seemed to only find tacomas and dodge diesels in manual. Not to sure about the release of the colo/canyon twins or ranger coming soon.

I'm in my mid-30s now and first learned to drive on a 4spd manual Mazda I bought when I was 15 for $250. Of the 7 vehicles I've owned over the years, every one has been a manual, and I didn't see any need to break with tradition when buying the tacoma.

I think the Frontier still can be had with MT. The GM twins as well. I think full size is done unless the Dodge still has a MT.

Dodge in the diesel only, and only certain models. Price with mt is close to 80/90k up in canada

I've done the same thing with an auto trans.

I've been driving a long time and I've never owned a vehicle with an auto trans and plan to never own one. I like manual transmissions and auto transmissions are a nightmare waiting to happen. Look at all the problems with recent Toyota autos.

My 73 FJ40 had a 3 speed non syncro 1st gear. Bitch to shift. Dropped a 350 in it with a Ford toploader behind it. Awesome truck. Clutch went on my 81 toy P/Up and drove it rest of the week to work and back with no clutch. Stop lights just shut it off, and when light changed start it in first gear. When changing gears a Little pressure on the stick and it would just fall into gear when it hit the rev it liked. Always owned manuals and always will. Learned to drive on a 63 beetle and never looked back.

I like my manual transmission because it means the wife can't use my truck.

It's a testament to crv's that hers stands up to her driving "style".

My first car in 1979 was a 4 speed manual '65 Mustang. I've owned manuals off and on ever since.

And having an MT in my Tacoma is like a millennial and younger theft protection device.

Enthusiasts like us are freaks almost by definition. The average millennial will be as baffled by an MT as the average monkey with an abacus. They just haven't been building and selling MTs like they once were. And for good reason since automatics have become so good. I'm on my last one.

    I'm 35 1/2 going on 13o_O:D
Been driving manuals since talking the tractor for joy rides around the property. Otherwise I've had 8 of my last 1p card manual.
I chose MT cause it makes me pay more attention to everything going on and on more in tune with my vehicle. The dealer thought I was crazy for asking to test drive it and more surprised when I said it was the one I wanted. Even tried to talk me out of it.

I have owned both manual and auto trans vehicles. Put simply, I have always enjoyed driving my manual trans vehicles more. The exception might be the $800 1980 F150 auto I owned while I was a student. I should have never sold that thing of beauty.

27, my first an only automatic was an 06 Tacoma AC SR5 4wd. I had it for five years and never enjoyed driving it.

Back into a 6MT Frontier Pro-4x and love driving it.
