I need to do this. I want to leave the outer trim silver though. I guess we will see how well I can tape.

Just take it off. Doesn't take long and no taping

The outer edge around the grill. It does not separate. If you were referring to the emblem I have a devil horn emblem on order from Diaz Fabrication.

The chrome outer "ring" around the chrome cheese grater grill is a separate piece

Thanks for the reminder. My truck was 1/2 quart low at 800 miles, I'm currently at 6500 now. I'm hoping this TSB will fix things.

I'm not sure. I believe the Rev1 was the most up to date TSB.

No problem, be very careful when you take it apart the plastic tabs are very easy to break. I partially broke two when I was taking mine apart.

@Skyknight, did you buy a kit for the smoked head and taillights? How much does it seem to affect your light output? Looks sharp!

Not yet. I think he is suppose to have the shaft in tomorrow. I'll will be driving to Indiana with my dad so probably won't be getting it back tomorrow. Hopefully by Thursday, we'll see how it goes.

Looking closer at this pic I noticed a faint rust ring where it looks like something had rubbed. I did notify him, he said they would take a closer look when they put it back together. :(Screenshot_2017-01-24-21-22-19.jpg

I was gonna go out and stick a magnet to my block to see what it's made of, but I forgot, it's snowing, and I cannot for the freakin life of me find any tech sheet that states whether the 2.7 on the 17s is aluminum or iron. Anyone? Anyone?

Well I washed it today for the first time since I bought it in mid December, then left the house and a mile down the road a deer made contact with my door. It put the small crease and scratched some paint off the bottom.

I knew I shouldn't have washed it. Idk if I wanna fix it or just let it ride for now. My comprehensive isn't but $50..
