Just made a deal to trade my 16 auto for a 17 manual.

Gotta understand when you seemingly claim everyone else has the same problems you do, those who aren't feeling the same way you do are going to speak up. Doesn't mean your problems are any less, but instead is intended to communicate a clearer picture to others who might be reading.

I was generalizing, but I understand how you can hang on that one word. The fact is that it's a major dissatisfier with a lot of people. They even stickied the TSB. Like I said before, I'm happy for you and hope you enjoy your truck.

I agree with the OP as if the Auto Trans was just fine there would not be a TSB for it, cannot be just 1 or 2 guys having issues.

Yes but the TSB corrected most all of the autos. A few think it didn't.

Well being you were such a manual owner then go back to the manual and all your complaints will go away. I know you will have an excuse not to do it. You have had an excuse since you bought the truck. I know you can't afford to trade it and take the lose and etc etc ect. It is very obvious to me and a lot of others on here your life revolves around griping about your truck and by now most folks don't care about your constant whining.

Drivetrain sucks for me, TSB didn't "fix" only "bandaid'd" the problem. Still have the dreaded misfire issue too. Not happy with our 2016 but it is "technically" the girlfriends truck and while she can drive stick, she prefers auto. I got her out of a 2015 Ford Tremor for this and feel bad. Don't even want to try and convince her to try her luck on a 2017 manual OR automatic. Hope it works out for you.

Maybe I missed something, but I've only seen one complaint about the manual and it was easily solved. I lost count of all of the auto tranny complaints. For the record I did get the TSB and it didn't remedy the inherent problem.

I pretty much think just a handful of early ones would stick in 6th gear after a long highway drive and after a small parts replacement they were good to go, not an ongoing issue.

Sorry the TSB did not work for you. It seemed to correct my issues.

Maybe it was a placebo effect, but it seemed like it solved my issues for about 500 miles. Now it has reverted back to its bad habits.

I have at least 10000 miles on mine since the TSB and it has not reverted back to the way it was before the TSB.

The Squeaking Pedal has been an issue for more than a decade, I used some Disc Brake Grease on the pivot points on my 15 and its been silent ever since so it was easily solved.

Well the many others you refer to might be having troubles like you say you have. If you are going to be on a forum you are mostly going to here from the people who say they have problems. The silent majority you don't hear from are very much enjoying their trucks.

I dunno about everyone else... I've been perfectly happy with my auto transmission. It has continued to work flawlessly from day-one (7-5-16) and has exhibited none of the gear-seeking, delayed shifting when cold or cruise control up-shifting issues that have been mentioned on the forum. About 3600 miles on the truck so far and I love it! (Hope I didn't jinx it.)

    Enjoy the new manual Taco!

I've got over 20k on mine since the TSB and it has not gone back either.

I have some minor complaints, but none of them are related to the transmission.
